Chef JL Tuason is currently a regular faculty of Far Eastern University under the Department of Hotel and Restaurant Management. He has served the Institute as academic manager for six years – three years as the Program Head of HRM Department and two years as Assistant Program Head for Laboratory.
He finished BS Hotel and Restaurant Management in Perpetual Help College of Manila and took his Masters in Public Management Major in Business Administration at St. Jude College – PHINMA.
Chef JL Tuason is a Certified Guest Service Professional – Asia World Hospitality, AHLEI – American Hotel and Lodging Educational Institute.
For many years, he has been mentor and coach for Barista, Culinary, Baking and Cake Decorating Competition. He also won 2 Bronze medals and a Diploma in Cake Decorating Professional Division National Food Showdown Competition
Prior to joining the academe Chef JL works as a Cafe Supervisor in Coffee Beanery he creates modules used to train newly hired barista. He is also a Chef/Barista consultant of the following Cafe & Restaurants: Texas BBQ, Charlies Cafe, Wings & Chop, 1028 Kitchen Place (Sta Rosa Laguna) Cake & Couture Cafe (Olongapo) and Petits Gateaux (Ilocos Sur).
Chef JL is also a former Demo Chef of Knorr (Unilever) & presently doing a demo cooking for Nutri Asia.
He is also the Owner/Founder of Tub & Tray Kitchen.
