Chef Erwin Gutierrez
Chef Erwin began to work in the kitchen as an assistant cook in few restaurants in the Philippines.Then he Started his own bakery which actually prospered but he still wanted his career to progress so he decided to work abroad as a sea fearer. Of course, he started as a “cook trainee” just like anyone else and within his first contract as a seafearer, he was promoted to be the head of the kitchen. He served food to different nationalities such as Europeans and Koreans to name a few but he was given more opportunities and enjoyed cooking Japanese cuisine more so majority of his 27 years experience in the kitchen was mostly on it. As a chef, he was required to take seminars and trainings listed below:
* National Certificate II in Ships’ Catering Services (Ships’ Cook)
* National Certificate III in Ships’ Catering Services ( Ships’ Cook)
* Croatian Cooking Course
* Indian Cooking Course
* Catering Management
Then Chef Erwin decided to stay in the Philippines on the year 2018 and started working at a well known buffet in BGC. Due to the pandemic, he decided to start his own business.
